Any restrictions enforced will be limited to those few instances where the impact of overnight parking has a significant impact on the local community. Nearly At Smoo Cave A Natural Sea Cave located The North Of SctlandNearly At Smoo Cave

This amazing and spectacular sea cave is located in Sutherland on Scotland's north coast, it  is set into a limestone cliff, And is a must See on the NC500. If you plan on visiting Smoo Cave it is situated about a mile east of Durness, there are many ways to take in this spectacle as it can be explored by boat or by the winding footpath from the car park on the clifftops. Smoo Cave also boasts one of the largest entrances to any sea cave anywhere in the UK, at around 50 feet high It was originally formed by a burn that ran down into the rear chamber of the cave, as well as erosion caused by the salty sea. The cave is also floodlit for vistors to enjoy this amazing hidden Gem.

NC500 Camper RulesCamper vana & motorhomes are now restricted from travelling on certain roads at specific times on the North coast 500, As from Monday 3rd of August the permitted travelling times for Campervans, caravenettes & motorhomes to be travelling on the NC 500 for this week beginning Monday 3rd of August. There is a  one-way system in effect along the North Coast 500 therfore  going round the route in an anti-clockwise direction is not advised and goes against Scottish Government guidance.
