Urquhart Castle located on the banks of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. The castle can be found on the A82 road, 14 miles south-west of Inverness and about 1 mile east of the village of Drumnadrochit. and is also on the North Coast 500 tourist route. The present ruins date from the 13th to the 16th centuries, though built on the site of an early medieval fortification.
