Dores beach is a hidden gem that is spectacularly located on the south shores of Loch Ness, approx: 8 miles from Inverness on the B862. If visiting loch ness on the NC500 this is a must visit. Not only is it one of loch ness most scenic locations, it also has the bonus of being home to the Dores Inn Pub which offers excellent food & Drink service indoors or outdoors in the beer garden.
It is also advisable to book in advance if you want to eat meals, as the restaurant is very popular with locals and tourists alike.
They offer a large selection of malt whiskies, local gins, real ales, fine wines and non-alcholic drinks ready to sample. If booking in for food or drinks, The Dores Inn also offers a complementary shuttle bus which will offer pick up and drop off within 10 mile radius of Dores. Please book a minimum of 24 hours before you plan to be there.
