The Fyrish monument overlooking the beauly Firth was built around 1782 on Fyrish Hill, in Fyrish in Evanton, near Alness, Easter Ross, Scotland, on the orders of Sir Hector Munro, 8th of Novar, he was a native lord of the area and had served overseas as a general in Indial.
